INTRODUCTION

Last week, when we initiated our sermon series, “GOD, Will Deliver On Time,” We did it BECAUSE this sermon series is in response the pandemic attack upon our community, country and the world. CORVID-19, which is better known as the infamous CORONAVIRUS, has stealthy attacked most cities and communities as a roaring lion, seeking whom it may devour.
As a result, those who did not believe that this pandemic was real, have become a believer now. Fear and panic has gripped the hearts and minds of many, as the schedules and livelihood of our society have grind down to a halt!
In American, we have had the advanced intelligence and benefit, of observing the tactics of this spreading virus in other countries. While studying the strategies, implemented by the leaders and experts in these countries, as they attempt to cease the spread of this epidemic.
Meanwhile, today, I am urging every believer and non-believer of Almighty GOD, to not sit in fear or defeat, but rather “watch, as well as pray, that we enter not into temptation, as those who have no hope! For while our spirit man is willing, to believe and obey God, our flesh can sometimes feel weak and wavier. ()
So let’s continue to feed our faith in the Word of GOD, by reading the HOLY SCRIPTURES each day, as we pray. Let’s encourage each other with these POWERFUL PROMISES that GOD has given to us to believe!
We must understand as children of the Most High GOD, what is impossible for us as a world population and a people to accomplish, we must declare ALL THINGS, are possible with our GOD! ()
Therefore, Churches and communities of faith need to lift Jesus up!
Saints of God!
People all over the earth!
WE OUGHT TO:
-WORSHIP HIM!
-HONOR HIM!
-GIVE HIM GLORY!
-AND BLESS HIS NAME!
Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace)
HALLELUJAH, why don’t you give our GOD, the highest praise!
TRANSITION
Because as we examined last week, and will discover today, when it comes to us, as the Children AND Servants of GOD, ALL OVER THE WORLD, down through the ages:
GOD IS: our PEACE! Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace)
-Because we are God’s PREDESTINED ONES
-Because we are God’s ELECT
-Because we are God’s PECULIAR PEOPLE
-Because we are God’s ROYAL PRIESTHOOD
-Because we are God’s HOLY NATION
-Because we are SAVED BY THE BLOOD of THE LAMB
-Because we are SANCTIFIED THROUGH THE WASHING AND RENEWING OF THE WORD OF GOD
-Because we are BAPTIZED into the BODY OF CHRIST
-Because we are FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD
PAUSE, TRANSITION
TODAY, I want us to consider, How we can believe that GOD IS OUR PEACE!
Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace)
To those who may not know God, as other followers, disciples and servants of God;
THERE IS A PEACE, THAT SURPASSES OR TRANSCENDS ALL HUMAN KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING! God’s peace, will guard your HEARTS and MINDS as you LIVE in CHRIST JESUS!()
SO I CAME BY TO DECREE AND DECLARE UNTO YOU; “Jesus, will work it out, if you let HIM into your HEART, and allow HIM to CALM your fears, and SOOTHE your soul!
PAUSE TRANSITION
Jesus himself, declared to us His disciples, “I am leaving you with a gift---PEACE of MIND and PEACE IN YOUR HEART! PEACE I leave with you, PEACE I give you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ()
I speaking to somebody today, “You better learn how to ENCOURAGE YOURSELF, in THE LORD!
GOD wants me to share some GOOD NEWS in the mist of our dilemma and despair!
[1:1-3]
Isaiah 61:1–3 NKJV
1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
Isaiah 63:1–3 NKJV
Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.” Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress? “I have trodden the winepress alone, And from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, And trampled them in My fury; Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, And I have stained all My robes.
Isaiah 63:1–3 NKJV
1 Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.” 2 Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress? 3 “I have trodden the winepress alone, And from the peoples no one was with Me. Allow me to share two biblical stories, that represent two very different types of peace, that could be pivotal towards creating a platform for our peace in the mist of this horrific pandemic STORM!
ENVIRONMENTAL PEACE
INTER PERSONAL PEACE

ENVIRONMENTAL PEACE and PERSONAL SAFETY (NLT)

35 As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” 36 So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). 37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.

38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”

39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

41 The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”

INTER PERSONAL PEACE and SOUND MIND (NLT)

Children of the Living GOD, as many people speculate about the potential illnesses and death that has and will occur, as a result of the CORONAVIRUS, I believe that God desires for us to have PEACE in our personal lives!
Jesus died on the cross, who bored both our diseases and sins, while carrying them far from us in the wilderness and into the sea of forgetfulness, and remembering them NO MORE!
GOD WANTS US WELL and OUR SINS FORGIVEN!
God does not want us to worry about the status about our quality of HEALTH or our ETERNAL LIFE!
Jesus Christ said, “I come that you might have life, and have it more abundantly!”
However, since the leadership of Moses with the CONGREGATION made up of ISRAEL’S 12 descendants and many other foreigners, who escaped the many pestilences of Egypt, until today’s 21st century churches, there has been a great amount of misinformation about GOD to you, the general public!
Perhaps we should be reminded of the announce made from heaven unto all of the earth, nearly 2000 years ago:
Glory to GOD in the highest heaven, PEACE on earth, to everyone who has favor, because they please GOD!” (lUKE 2:14)
Since this great pandemic, have we considered, what would it required to have PEACE restored to our lives, community and country?
What is the definition of PEACE?
What is the opposite of PEACE?
J. D. Walt gave this perspective from a 2014 article “Why the opposite of peace isn’t what you think it is”
“Peacemaking goes far beyond conflict resolution by beginning long before it. Peacemakers preempt conflict by averting anxiety. Peacemaking is a way of being in the world. Anxiety overwhelms through fearful insecurity. Peace quietly subverts by embracing chaos. Anxiety spreads like a contagion. Peace works like a vaccine.”
Isn’t this the kind of peace that the world is looking for, a vaccine for this corona virus?
For we all have heard, and perhaps have even seen, the personal turmoil that other individuals and their families have suffered once they discovered that they are infected by CORVID 19.
Often times the population in our society and world live in fear
Please consider this story from Holy Scripture, as you build up your faith in GOD!

Jesus Delivers The Man Possessed by Legion of demons

So they arrived at the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gerasenes. 2 When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain. 4 Whenever he was put into chains and shackles—as he often was—he snapped the chains from his wrists and smashed the shackles. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones.

6 When Jesus was still some distance away, the man saw him, ran to meet him, and bowed low before him. 7 With a shriek, he screamed, “Why are you interfering with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In the name of God, I beg you, don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had already said to the spirit, “Come out of the man, you evil spirit.”

9 Then Jesus demanded, “What is your name?”

And he replied, “My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man.” 10 Then the evil spirits begged him again and again not to send them to some distant place.

11 There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby. 12 “Send us into those pigs,” the spirits begged. “Let us enter them.”

13 So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of about 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water.

14 The herdsmen fled to the nearby town and the surrounding countryside, spreading the news as they ran. People rushed out to see what had happened. 15 A crowd soon gathered around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. He was sitting there fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid. 16 Then those who had seen what happened told the others about the demon-possessed man and the pigs. 17 And the crowd began pleading with Jesus to go away and leave them alone.

18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. 19 But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” 20 So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.

Someone may have asked the question, “Why Did Jesus decide to go to the other side?”
I believe that Jesus will go through insurmountable difficulties and dangers to insure that we DONOT have an EVIL SPIRIT of FEAR, but so we all can have and experiece LOVE, POWER and a SOUND MIND!
The opposite of FEAR and ANXIETY is PEACE!

12 FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURES ABOUT OBTAINING PEACE from GOD!

And he will be called:

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

ROMANS 5:1-2

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

16 Justice will rule in the wilderness

and righteousness in the fertile field.

17 And this righteousness will bring peace.

Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever.

ROMANS 12:17-18

17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

2 CORINTHIANS 13:11

11 Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
